Our mission is to break down perceived boundaries
between people, cultures, and art forms
through an embodied practice of radical empathy
with three intersecting strategies:

International
and local workshops

Performance
creation

Public space
interventions

Our Work
ANIKAYA brings voices and perspectives from across the globe together to weave together community engagement and performance – music, dance, visual art, new media, and storytelling – and to create work resonant of deep-rooted traditions, yet unbound to any one genre, place, or practice.
We are an artist-run, women-led, majority BIPOC organization. All of our projects are created by and for people of all genders and gender presentations, people of color from the U.S. and around the world, LGBQTIA people, and people with disabilities.
